95 POINTS - "Deep, rich and enchanting, the wine opens up with seductive aromas of dark fruits, ripe berries, licorice, cedar and a myriad of different earth tones, including a distinct note of bay leaf that reflects a true sense of place. On the palate, the generous flavors of ripe plum, dark cherry, black raspberry and huckleberry are intertwined with lively hints of savory spices, bittersweet chocolate, and roasted walnuts. As the wine opens up, these complex flavors are balanced with a smooth, velvety texture and bright acidity leading to a long, lingering finish. Power, beauty, and finesse in every sip." - Chris Sawyer
Blue cheeses, wild mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, pan-seared duck breast, and Prime Rib with all the fixings.
