WINEMAKER NOTES
The vineyards just inland from the Sacramento River Delta, along the deep banks of the Sacramento River, comprise the Clarksburg AVA. For five generations the Lange family has been growing sustainable winegrapes in the Lodi Appellation and in 2006 they opened a winery to showcase their passion for growing winegrapes – because great wine starts in the vineyard.

93 POINTS - 2019 Sunset International Wine Competition
91 POINTS - "Garnet black color. Mature, attractive aromas of sautéed foraged mushrooms, cacao nibs, sun dried tomato, crushed coriander seeds, fine leather, and pickled watermelon rind with a round, vibrant, dry-yet-fruity medium-full body and a warming, very complex, very long balsamic glaze, prosciutto, menthol, ground black pepper, and salted figs finish with well-integrated tannins and heavy oak flavor. A fantastic Cabernet with endless complexities of spice and earth." - Tastings.com

Rich aromas of black cherry and vanilla fill the glass of our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon. Inviting flavors of dark fruit with hints of licorice and chocolate make the wine delightfully appealing. A bit of French and American oak aging adds an additional layer to this fresh and approachable wine.
