WINEMAKER NOTES
Introducing the DeLille Cellars 2019 Four Flags Cabernet Sauvignon, a wine that is sure to impress even the most discerning palates. This vintage is loaded with red and dark fruit aromas, along with a unique savory quality. Aromas of olive tapenade, star anise, and juniper are complemented by wild huckleberry, red licorice, and Bing cherry. The mouthfeel is delicately textured, with fine, dusty Red Mountain tannins, and the complex matrix of fruit, spice, herbs, and umami flavors is supported by 80% new French oak.

DeLille Cellars is a top Bordeaux-inspired producer in Washington State, with a reputation for quality and excellence spanning over 30 years. This 2019 Four Flags Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of four prestigious Red Mountain vineyards, including DeLille's estate vineyard, Grand Ciel, and has been awarded 94 points by Jeb Dunnuck. With its ruby/plum color and notes of red and black currants, spicy oak, dried flowers, and hints of tobacco, this wine is medium to full-bodied, has beautiful tannins, and a great finish.

Pair Four Flags with Beef Short Ribs, Venison Cheeks, Lamb Shanks, Burgers, or Earthy Vegetables. Tannin levels are high in this Cabernet Sauvignon, a trait typical of Red Mountain wines, pairing particularly well with nutty cheeses and oily fats.

Cold soaked 24-36 hours, fermented for 14-16 days on skin, with partial native yeast, and aged 20 months in 100% French oak (80% new). 94 POINTS - "Sourced mostly from Grand Ciel and Upchurch, the balance from Ciel du Cheval and Klipsun, this is warm with espresso and cocoa notes. The fl avors are dark and juicy, with fl eshy tannins that express a kind of compact lushness. It should age beautifully." - Wine & Spirits

94 POINTS - "A blend of four vineyards on Red Mountain, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Four Flags sports a ruby/plum color to go with terrific notes of red and black currants, spicy oak, dried flowers, and hints of tobacco. It has some classic Red Mountain minerality and chocolate on the palate, is medium to full-bodied, has beautiful tannins, and a great finish." - Jeb Dunnuck

93 POINTS - "Density meets detail as this red slowly reveals structured currant, black olive and stony mineral accents, which build tension toward broad-shouldered tannins. Best from 2023" - Wine Spectator

93 POINTS - "Blackberry, blackcurrant and black licorice on the nose. Full-bodied with very good depth and intensity. Firm tannins. Well structured with ripe fruit and crushed herbs coming in layers. A surprisingly fresh finish. Best after 2024." - James Suckling
