When you mention Rutherford to wine lovers, the first thing that usually comes to mind is one of the best Cabernet Sauvignon produced in Napa Valley. Our 2017 Kukeri Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a Heritage vineyard located on the east side of the valley, bordering the Silverado Trail, in an area well known for its unique terroir, producing very intense, ripe and concentrated fruit. The Cabernet grape selection is clone 7.

Blend: 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3.5% Petite Verdot, 3.4% Merlot, 1.1% Petite Sirah, & 1% Cabernet Franc

Alcohol: 14.65%
95 POINTS - "With an attractive dark crimson color, the wine opens up with deep aromas of red fruits, fresh berries and roasted figs are intermixed with harmonious notes of cocoa, dried coconut, caramel, and roast hazelnuts. On the palate, the core flavors of dark plum, ripe cherry and strawberry preserve are complimented with distinct notes of fresh raspberry, wild sage, pepper, clove and blood orange zest as the natural richness of the wine starts to expand inside the glass. To add more layers of complexity, the wine features a smooth texture, bright acidity, silky tannins and a long stately finish that makes this wine approachable now, as well as worthy of cellaring for 7-10 years." - Chris Sawyer
The 2017 Kukeri Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon features bold and intense aromas of ripe dark fruit, leather, tobacco, and dried herbs. On the palate, the deep, rich, and sophisticated flavors of black cherry, and ripe plum are interlaced with nuances of coffee beans, and toasted oak. These distinct flavors are balanced with a round, supple texture; firm tannins; and a luxurious finish. The end result is a well-crafted Cabernet Sauvignon that is young, powerful and assertive, yet very complex, elegant and a pleasure to sip-especially as it opens up in the glass.

This wine it is a superb candidate for cellaring and should mature well over the next 10 years.
