Red Wine by Dancing Hares from Napa Valley, California. Mad Hatter is the second label of Dancing Hares Winery which released their first vintage in 2003, and founders Paula Brooks and Bob Cook were committed to producing beautiful wines from their estate vineyard in St. Helena, Napa Valley under the winemaking direction of Andy Erickson. (Screaming Eagle, Harlan Estate, Ovid, Newton Vineyard, and Spottswoode, to name a few) with consulting winemaker Michel Rolland.

92 POINTS - "Tobacco and blueberry aromas, as well as violets and cassis. The palate has impressive tannin structure with good carry and balance. Plenty of blueberry, plum and chocolate flavors on offer. A blend of 67% cabernet sauvignon, 12% merlot, 8% cabernet franc, 8% petit sirah, 3% petit verdot and 2% malbec. The Mad Hatter is an aromatic blend of plum, wild raspberry, fig, Maraschino cherry, and cocoa powder and a hint of baking spice. On the palate, it has bold and lively flavors with a rich mouthfeel and a long, smooth finish.
