FOOD PAIRING
This 100% Cabernet uses sustainably farmed grapes from the heart of the Napa Valley. The vineyards consist of gravelly and sandy fast draining soils which give the wine depth and texture. Andrew Cain builds these small production wines to remind us where the grapes were grown, a style that is Terroir Driven! Aged 22 months in 80% American Oak / 20% French Oak.

Alcohol: 14.5%
95 POINTS - "With a shimmering dark crimson hue, this wine is gracious from the moment it hits the glass. On the nose, sultry scents of ripe red fruits, fresh currants, cranberries and blueberry cobbler are interlaced with hints of fresh earth, mint, allspice, and cigar box. As the wine opens up, the core flavors of ripe raspberry, dark cherry, blueberry and cassis are enhanced with underlying hints of black trumpet mushroom, lavender and dried cherry, as well as oak-infused notes of mocha, cardamom and smoked cedar that linger on the finish. Elegant and complex, with a smooth, velvety texture, supple tannins, and burst of bright acidity that lifts the flavors. Equally appealing are the fresh, earthy, almost animal characteristics to this wine that reflects the natural beauty of Napa Valley, where these grapes were grown. Not only is this wine sexy and approachable when young, but it has plenty of depth, structure, and complexity to lay down for 5-8 years. Outstanding." - Chris Sawyer
Hard cheeses, charcuterie, lamb sliders, risotto with wild mushrooms, pan- seared duck with cherry sauce, slow-roasted prime rib, chocolate truffle.
