The 2021 vintage of Dumol's "Wester Reach" Chardonnay is an exquisite embodiment of the region's rich viticultural legacy. With over two decades of meticulous cultivation, Dumol sources grapes from the finest vineyards spanning three distinctive sub-districts, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors that define the Russian River Valley.
From the bountiful Middle Reach emerges the Flax Estate, a vineyard that imparts broad orchard fruit generosity to the wine. Crossing the river, El Diablo's volcanic hillside adds a layer of texture and density, while the venerable Lorenzo Vineyard on the Santa Rosa plain introduces old vines with a trademark savory grapefruit intensity. Cornerstone, with its piercing acidity and honeyed richness, further contributes to the wine's complexity. As the elevation rises toward the coast, the majestic Heintz Ranch crowns the blend with sweet botanical and truffle-infused complexity, coupled with a savory/mineral drive.
