El Pino Club proudly presents the 2021 Sea Floored Pinot Noir, a wine that beckons to Pinot fanatics, those who adore this enigmatic grape with its penchant for defying expectations. Crafted from the coastal corners of the world where Pinot thrives, Sea Floored is a testament to the lands and hands that nurture it, a symphony of flavors celebrating this legendary varietal.
The 2021 vintage, marked by a cooler growing season and one of the latest harvest starts in over a decade, gifted us with fruit of exceptional quality. The moderate weather ensured balanced acidity, the hallmark of well-crafted wines. Amid the looming threat of smoke taint from the Alisal fire, our vineyard and winery teams rallied together, successfully picking all grapes before any harm could befall them. Harvesting occurred on September 8th and October 23rd in our two esteemed estate vineyards.
Exclusively sourced from our Rancho Santa Rosa and Rancho Las Hermanas vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills, Sea Floored Pinot Noir truly embodies its maritime roots. The former, with its steep south-facing slopes and limestone soils, contributes depth and character. The latter, the westernmost property in the AVA, boasts vines planted in diverse ancient marine-origin soil types.

Composed of 100% Pinot Noir, and a harmonious blend of clones - 667, 777, Pommard, and 459, this wine spent 18 months in French oak barrels, with 60% being new. With a TA of 6.16 g/L, a pH of 3.45, and an alcohol content of 14.5%, Sea Floored Pinot Noir is an exquisite embodiment of its terroir.
