WINERY NOTES
Leviathan is a red blend from legendary winemaker Andy Erickson, the former winemaker for Screaming Eagle. With two 100pt wines and numerous additional accolades under his belt, Andy is recognized as one of Napa’s premier winemakers. Leviathan began in 2004 as a passion project. Andy wanted to take all of his winemaking experience and vineyard knowledge from around California and create a single red blend that was free from the restraints of appellations and varietals. This is winemaking without restriction.

Blend: 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah, 21% Cabernet Franc, & 7% Merlot

Alcohol: 14.8%
90 POINTS - "The 2014 Leviathan is a big, juicy wine that will appeal to readers who enjoy flashy, extroverted reds. Copious red cherry jam, red plum, spice, vanilla and oak are pushed forward in this flamboyant, racy Cabernet Sauvignon based red. At $40 per bottle, the appropriately named Leviathan is one of the best values in California." - Antonio Galloni

90 POINTS - "The 2014 Leviathan Red comes right to the fore with black fruit, smoky accents, and licorice. The wine's multi-nuances of fruit should pair it well with grilled pork ribs and a side of lightly seasoned BBQ sauce. " - Wilfred Wong
The Leviathan wine is a red blend created afresh each vintage, sourced from some of the most coveted vineyards in California. Each year, a percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc are blended together to produce a singular wine, showcasing all the best characteristics of the vintage.
