Niner 2019 Bootjack Red

In the realm of fine wines, the 2019 vintage at Bootjack Ranch and Heart Hill Vineyard heralded a symphony of perfection. Blessed with optimal weather conditions, our vineyards yielded grapes of unparalleled quality, ripened slowly under the gentle sun of Paso Robles. With meticulous care, we handpicked each grape cluster at the peak of its flavor potential, ensuring that only the finest fruit made its way into our Niner 2019 Bootjack Red.

A blend born from the marriage of Bootjack Ranch's Geneseo District grapes and the terroir of Heart Hill Vineyard in the Willow Creek District, our wine boasts a complexity derived from the distinct characteristics of each site. Harvested over several weeks, our grapes were transported under the cover of night to preserve their freshness, arriving at the winery in pristine condition to begin their transformation.

Once in our cellar, the grapes underwent a meticulous process of sorting and destemming before being gently coaxed into fermentation in closed-top stainless steel tanks. Each varietal was fermented separately to honor its unique qualities, allowing the flavors to develop and mature over 18 months before the final blend was artfully composed.

With a core blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec, our Niner 2019 Bootjack Red is a testament to the art of blending. Cabernet Franc lends a sturdy structure, while Cabernet Sauvignon contributes layers of complex red fruit flavors, and Malbec adds a luscious, juicy quality that tantalizes the palate.

Aged for a total of 26 months in French oak barrels, with 45% new oak, our wine underwent a transformation, integrating flavors and textures to achieve harmony and balance. The result is a wine that is as elegant as it is approachable, ready to be enjoyed now or cellared for future indulgence.
