TASTING NOTES
The Cabernet grapes that make up Sabotage are from several of the most respected sub-appellations throughout Napa Valley and long-time partnered Cabernet. When choosing the Cabernet for the final blend, Sean considered each lot individually in terms of the grape as well as at the different barrels used for aging. “My passion for wine sabotaged my legal career and creating a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon became an obsession. The 2015 Sabotage represents a culmination of my experience in the wine country since lawschool, and I have sourced fruit from a range of Napa Valley vineyards and sub-appellations to create the rich, complex wine of my dreams.” Sean Roney

Blend: 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot, 3% Cab Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, & 1% Malbec

Alcohol: 14.5%
92 POINTS - "A barrel sample and only the second vintage from this new producer, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is composed of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon with dollops of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Sporting a medium to deep garnet-purple color, it is scented of crème de cassis, prunes and spice cake with hints of dusty soil and cedar. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm, chewy frame and a long, spicy finish." - Jeb Dunnuck

Aromatics suggest tobacco, bold black fruit and notes of graphite. On the palate, red, blue and black fruits are balanced by hints of currant, vanilla and mocha. The young tannins will evolve over time and help expand the long finish.
