TASTING NOTES
Indulge in the epitome of Sonoma County Zinfandel with Seghesio's 2019 vintage. Crafted from over 150 meticulously selected lots across the county, this wine embodies brightness, richness, and boldness, always maintaining perfect balance.

Despite a wet start to the 2019 growing season, Seghesio seized the opportunity for healthy cover crop growth and soil enrichment. Subsequent rains in May complemented the already flourishing vineyards, setting the stage for a successful year. Warm days and cool nights throughout summer ensured a balanced crop with vibrant fruit flavors and refreshing acidity.

From Sonoma Valley to Dry Creek, Seghesio's blend comprises vineyards meticulously managed for optimal ripening. Hand-harvested in small lots, each fermentation—whether in stainless steel tanks or open tops—preserves the distinct character of every vineyard block. Aged for 10 months in a blend of American and French oak barrels, the wine evolves into a masterpiece of deep dark fruits with hints of mint and plum.

The result? An expressive explosion of aromas followed by a luscious mid-palate and a long, complex finish. Pair it with grilled steak, sausage and peppers, or pasta dishes for a culinary journey through Sonoma's flavors. And don't forget the cheese—semi-hard varieties like dry jack or aged cheddar complement its richness perfectly.

More than just exquisite taste, Seghesio's commitment to sustainability shines through. With 55% of fruit sourced from certified sustainable estate vineyards and the rest from trusted growers, they ensure quality from vine to bottle. And with eleven consecutive vintages of 90+ point scores from Wine Spectator, their reputation for excellence is undeniable.

Experience the essence of Sonoma in every sip with Seghesio's 2019 Zinfandel. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or a newcomer to the world of wine, this bottle promises an unforgettable journey through Sonoma's terroir. Cheers to tradition, sustainability, and the art of winemaking—cheers to Seghesio.

92 POINTS - "Plump and briary, this is a zesty update on old-school Zin, offering wild berry, underbrush and licorice flavors that build richness and structure on the lively finish. Drink now." - Wine Spectator

90 POINTS - "The appellation 2019 Zinfandel Sonoma is a charming, fruit-forward effort with plenty of blueberry and cherry-like fruit as well as classic spice box and peppery herbs. Medium-bodied and nicely textured, with chewy tannins, it doesn't quite have the texture of the others, but it’s nevertheless incredibly charming and satisfying." - Jeb Dunnuck

Socially Rated 4+ / 5 ⭐
An expressive burst of aromas of deep dark fruits lead into layered tones of lifted red fruit and a soft, luscious mid-palate. A juicy, vibrant entry with notes of mint, sarsaparilla, and fresh plum is interwoven with supple, textured tannins and acidity on the long, complex finish.
