FOOD PAIRING
With all the nifty winemaking techniques now available to winemakers, sometimes it’s hard to tell where the grapes were grown. That’s especially true with Cabernets built around bold flavors, hearty tannin, and the new oak barrels that often cover up the signature fruit flavors of young wines. Winemaker Mark Jessup took these factors to heart when he decided in favor of using a more “hands-off” approach to capturing the unique characteristics of the fruit and the site for the Single Vineyard series he crafts for Threesome Cellars in Napa.

95 POINTS - "A lovely red hue, the varietal character of this wine comes to life the minute it hits the glass with lofty aromas of dark fruits and wild berries with hints of mineral, fresh sage, vanilla, chocolate truffle and roasted nuts. On the palate, deep notes of black cherry, blackberry, cassis, dark plum, savory spices and cedar are balanced with silky texture, smooth tannins and a burst of bright acidity leading to a long, elegant finish. Splendor and luxury in every sip." Chris Sawyer
Try this wine with blue cheese, charcuterie, pan-seared duck breast with cherry sauce, roasted wild boar, grilled steaks, hearty stews, and flourless chocolate cake.
